Don Henderson was a great actor, loved all the 70s 80s cope series. The comments below about "being PC" are absolute nonsense though!

Nowadays one would have to be black, one would be have to be gay, another Asian; and the commander a woman. Political correctness and the needs to 'reflect the diversity of the people it serves' has ruined so much Film and TVscript writing. Ask people like Jimmy McGovern.

Beautiful theme tune! Haven't heard it for years. Very reminiscent of "Birdland", but has that certain something. Does anyone know what it is?
