The Blue Streak rollercoaster at Conneaut Lake Park in northwestern Pennsylvania was built in 1938 by Edward Vettel and is an American Coaster Enthusiasts "Coaster Classic" and Landmark Coaster. The Blue Streak has a very rare and unique track design and still uses a manual breaking system and one original train. The original train was last used in 2006. The turn around curve of the Blue Streak was rebuilt during the Summer of 2010. Thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project, $10,000 from the American Coaster Enthusiasts, and donations from many fans and supporters who love the Blue Streak (including a donation from myself), the coaster has opened once again after sitting idle for almost four years. If you love this coaster, won't you make a donation to help keep the Blue Streak running for many years to come?

Very nicely shot. You did a fantastic job with all different angles. It was second best since I am not able to ride it. Thanks.

@konie225 I hope they can get it done. I'd hate to see a old coaster like that one get torn down.

That's a beautiful sound there and I'm glad they were able to get it reopened. I'm hoping someone will do the same for the Big Dipper at the old Geauga Lake Park. I just hate seeing old coasters like that one being torn down. I hope that Cedar Fair comes to their senses and atleast dismantles it and put's it in a climate controlled storage facility so someone in the future can buy it.

@sportsygirl8 It's in Northwestern part of Pennsylvania in a small town called Conneaut Lake, PA. It's about 35-40 miles south of Erie, PA and about 100 miles north of Kennywood Park.

Blue Streak looks like a fun roller coaster! Where in Pennsylvania is this park in? I know I don't live far from Lakemont, Del Grosso's, Idlewild, Kennywood and Hershey Park, but I'm not sure where this one is, but I want to go there sometime.
