A medicine price adjustment has been implemented in Lhasa in accordance with the requirement by National Development and Reform Committee to reduce the price of parts of medicines which could reduce hormones, regulate endocrine and cure nervous system diseases, involving 82 varieties of medicines and over 400 dosages of prescriptions.

It has been confirmed by Lhasa government official website that hospitals and pharmacy stores will reduce the price immediately and the current supply of the entire pharmaceutical market in Lhasa remains in good condition.
Local residents show positive feedbacks towards this policy adjustment. Ms. Wu, one medicine purchaser said, "Medicines, especially for nervous system diseases were too expensive for ordinary people, now I can buy some for me and my father."

Deng xiaogang, Vice-Chairman of TAR, stressed that commodity price regulation was the top priority of government’s agenda during an inspection on the commodity price situation of Lhasa market on September 9,2011.
