when I try to preview my movie, I press play on the time line, and in the preview movie box in the top right corner it's really glitchy. The sound is smooth, but the video plays frames and only changes them every second or so. Is that normal, or is it just glitching?

@IredaleGirl i had the same problem - its because of your computer. i dont know the english word for it - in german its "arbeitsspeicher" maybe "workspace"?!?! i dont know - anyway - it could be because of that

how do you get and effect to only be on one part of the video?

When I mute the audio of a clip I use, part of the music is muted too. How do I fix that?

This works like Movie Maker. But, you know? Actually all videostudio programs are better than Movie Maker ;D
