Does this mean doctors will continue making more money?

I like this video and the actor playing the politician... because it is me!
-
@staciepaul wait what?
-
How about the government just assign me an old person that I need to pay for and get the government overhead out of the way. As one of the less than 50 percenters that still pay taxes this makes more sense to me. Although none of it makes much sense. Seems folks should pay their own way. Why is government involved. never used to be. Their was an america before Government assistance.

Hurray for socialism!!!

thanks for stating a well known problem by giving no hint of a solution

"Great ad. If we don't speak up, Congress will never make the changes we need to keep medicare."

Here is a link that explains what the SGR (sustainable growth rate) is about. It links physician medicare payments to the rate of growth of the GDP (gross domestic product). It was a well-intentioned attempt to limit cost increases. Obviously, it suffers from "unintended consequences". When will lawmakers ever do the "what if" scenarios to avoid "unintended consequences" and create useful and well thought out legislation?

Fix it, how?

Everybody--Republicans, Democrats, the administration--everybody--agr
ees that the current system has to go, but the fallacious budgetary treatment and need for a "pay-for"makes it impossible for Congress to untangle its own shorts. -
Once again, the medical industrial complex is pushing more spending on a runaway entitlement program. Wonder why we have such a high debt, Medicare is the number one reason.
Bad action alert. I agree with other viewers. There's no details about the legislation to make a decision about.

@RCFism At this point there is not a specific piece of legislation. The Medicare SGR issue, along with the payroll tax cut and unemployment insurance extension, is currently being negotiated in conference committee. We've updated the video description with some links that provide more information on this issue. Check them out.

Cute video, but it really doesn't say much. I don't make split second decisions as a rule.
