Police said human remains were discovered in a wooded area in Bloomsburg Saturday afternoon.
According to investigators, two teenage boys discovered the remains around 1 p.m. Saturday just off East Fourth Street and Oak Lane.
Bloomsburg police said they are only investigating one missing persons case, the May 2006 disappearance of Bloomsburg University student Garrett Jay.
While police cannot confirm the remains are those of Jay, the lead investigator said that clothing and personal items found near the skeleton are consistent with items that Garrett Jay would have had at the time he went missing.
Bloomsburg police have spent dozens of hours trying to find the missing man. The college junior was last seen May 11 when he was supposed to show up at a bar in town to meet friends, but never did.
Police said forensic investigators are using dental remains found in the woods to confirm the identity of the person found. An officer did say police have contacted the parents of Garrett Jay.

What is wrong with this bitch? She's smiling and callous about the missing boy. "I don't really care, I didn't know him"
