After three years as a Brownie Girl Scout Troop, we were earned our Brownie Wings, and were also ready to bridge up to Junior Girl Scouts at the end of fourth grade. Bridging to Junior Scouts is different than flying up. All girls will receive a pair of wings signifying that they have flown up from Brownie Scouts to Junior Scouts. To bridge, the girls also had to complete six additional requirements: find out about Junior Girl Scouting, do a Junior Girl Scout activity, do something with a Junior Girl Scout, share what we learned, and do a summer Girl Scout activity. The girls sang the Brownie Smile Song for the last time as Brownies, then crossed the bridge and became Juniors. It was fun to see how much better their new vests fit them, especially the ones who were only 5 when they received them.
