This was the first song they played on their first TV appearance in Britain. Written by Bob Marley in 1967, they probably chose this song cos Johnny Nash had had a hit with it in the UK so it was familiar and the 'cheka-cheka' guitar sound was new and popular. They actually pre-recorded the music backing tracks, that's why Peter Tosh guitar solo looks a bit out of sync, but all the vocals were live.

Listen carefully to the lyrics and messages Bob Marley sings and your spirits are lifted.

@sweatyeddie22 actually peter tosh looks a little like dave chapelle here, and he is the guitar player. not the bass player.

If you don't know how this much the showing of video, has effected me...I was a 11 years old when it was aired on TV...and since than I've played the guitar,
Now at the age of 45+ I've mastered all the instruments played & record to Jah's musical style
Bob your music has uplifted me in the low points in my life, like a message from god.
In the good times, I rejoice your music,
