is it true that you shouldn't use a regular rifle scope because it will break on an air rifle?

@robotg Yes and no, depends on the type of Air Rifle. If you are shooting a spring powered gun, a regular scope is not rated for the reverse recoil of a spring gun, and it could break the scope. CO2 and PCP Air Rifles do not have the reverse recoil, so you can use a regular rifle scope. Hope this helps.

@fameistechno You just have to make sure that the scope you put on the gun is rated for an Air Gun, because spring guns have reverse recoil, and if the scope is not rated for it, it will destroy the inside of the scope.
