Crazy Train (COVER) at the Red Rock Cafe Open Mike Guitaroke

My first time in front of an audience in a long time. Yes, I realize I have absolutely no stage presence, but I plan to work on that once I get a few more songs down.

This open mike has been going on for 8 years at the Red Rock Coffee Co. in Mountain View, CA. The guy running the show told me it was the first time anyone did any metal.

Equipment is an American Standard Stratocaster w/ Vintage Noiseless pickups into a Microcube set to R-fier. I brought an mp3 player with a drum and bass backing track to play over. I think this is called "Guitaroke"!

I ended up faking a lot of the guitar parts with pentatonic scales, but I think it sounded OK. After all that preparation the loudest applause I got was after some (admittedly random) tapping :)

There are others on youtube that do better with the guitar parts, but as far as I can tell none of them also sing! Guitaroke rules!
