But make sure you pick lipos that are rated for enough continuous current. It depends on how you gear and drive, but personally I would say 120A is the minimum for an MMM CastleNeu setup

  • Ok, to each his own. All I can say is my experience is that (geared correctly) they run great - I have had some for a year on my BL E-Revo. Key point is correct gearing for the lipos you chose - obviously gearing for 60mph with lipos rated to 100A is stupid, and that is what Castle mentions in MMM warranty (Patricks post on RCM). Geared correctly (40+) they run great & last well, but hey they are so cheap I can buy 4 sets and enjoy 4x the runtime and not notice if I have to replace one a year

  • yup, id rather pay more for better quality batteries rather than 20 dollar e-bay batteries which have generated TONS of stories of them blowing up. and castle creations, will NOT warranty the momba monster Max with those batteries.

  • ha ha... if you say so... I take it you have tried them yourself? Personally I find them great, and great value - and both the 6000mAh@5s and the 5300mAh@4s give good run time and barely even get warm.

But hey, I guess you are a fan of a more expensive brand...? Do share...

  • bad batteries.

  • For 4s I use a pair of ZIPPY Flightmax 2650mAh 4S1P 30C in parallel (159A continuous).

    For 5s I use a pair of ZIPPY Flightmax 3000mAh 5S1P 20C in parallel (120A continuous).

In both cases they are great, and barely get warm...

  • What LiPo's are you running there (parralel I guess)?
