Hot winds! Gale force! Is it the legendary Cybuster, ruler of the wind?! Sort of. It's this week's seventh and final edition of Amateur Extension Theater 2000; I'm your super hyped up, cat-loving host, Alkahest.

Can I just say, YESS! YEEESSSS! EXCELLENT! Hahahahaha! Oh man, I was so hoping I'd be able to do this. Wheeeeeeee! Non-alcoholic drinks all around! Or they can be alcoholic if you're of proper age, have some ID handy, and don't mind getting it for yourself, 'cause all I have is fizzy fruit beverages, sorry.

Released back in 2006, Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Divine Wars is an anime series based on Bandai and Banpresto's strategy series 'Super Robot Wars' (known in America as Super Robot Taisen). It condenses the plot of SRW: OG1 into a 25 episode story arc, dealing with the rise of Bian Zoldark and his world conquering DC Forces, the enigmatic machinations of hostile alien invaders, and the brave men and women who find themselves opposing these twin fires of destruction to protect the Earth we all know and love.

'Kuro! Shiro! Cybuster' is probably my all-time favorite SRW theme. In fact, it's what got me interested in the series to begin with. Ah, I remember playing SRW3 with a translation patch just to hear this. Well, that, and to have Bernie Wiseman use an area-beam attack that wiped out ten or twelve DC units in one hit. Boy, did he power level in a hurry, heh heh.

But we're talkin' about Masaki Andoh here! More hot-blooded than even Ryusei Date, and possessing an unerringly -awful- sense of direction, he was somehow summoned from Tokyo to the underground kingdom of La Gias, where he'd been chosen to become a hero of the wind. Cybuster actually selected -him- to be its pilot. With the help of Luna and Artemis, he'll right wrongs and triumph over evil, and that means SHUUUUUU!

I cannot believe I just typed that. I can, however, believe the ridiculously cheesy grin on my face on reading it back. (I wonder if that means Rätsel Feinschemecker would be the one throwing Buick-sized roses and distracting the bad guys by spouting nonsensical poetry? Heh! Come to think of it, the Aussenseiter even has its own cape... ack, stay on topic, Alkahest.)

... Anyways, this theme sounds great no matter what form it takes, but the orchestral treatment it got for the Anime... wow, truly spectacular; definitely tied for first place with Everywhere You Go and Variable Formation, the latter of which I hope to extend at a future date. We'll see, I suppose.

Well, either way, it'll probably be a bit before the next set of SRW OG: DW extensions. They require a good deal of work, and I plan to take it easy with next week's set of videos. Until next we meet, friends, hope you've enjoyed the time we spent together, and may God bless.
