Yeah, I remember this train. It tipped over while my aunt and I were on it one hot summer day. Although I loved this park, this accident left me fearing amusement park rides!

I wonder why so short? when other parks have had longer runs even almost to 100 years

The Park died when Jolly Cholly died. His real name was Charles Nasif and a pal of mine who was in advertising at WARA, in Attleboro, about 1950 gave Charlie the "Jolly Cholly" moniker. Jolly Cholly's the home of "Chubby Chicken". It was soooooooooooo good.
Anyway, after Charllie died the park did too. So did HoJos and Jack Witchi's and all the good things that made North Attleboro a treasure back in the 50s 60s and 70s.

Thanks for adding that! I had no idea there was a real Charlie.
I won't ever forget the pizza. It was a one of a kind and fortunately was preserved for years and years after when one of the cooks took the recipe and opened Pizza Palace in Pawtucket. (went out of business in 2009 but might return someday).
