This reminds me of when I was in radio broadcasting in central Minnesota at KMSR 94.3 FM Sauk Centre, MN which was bought and sold several times before going completely off the air and then being bought and relocated in Alexandria Minnesota as an oldies rock station.

Yep. CDs didn't receive prominence until the early mid-1990s. This station is now 1030 WCTS, owned by Calvary Theological Seminary.
