The Plague Monkeys - White Feathers, official video.

LYRICS:
This return trip is just a lie
Life is a lark and then you...
With object lessons
With static reason

Sometimes it's what it is
Sometimes I'm what I see
Sometimes it hardly means enough
To be surrendering

And those religious thieves
They stole the words from me
My purpose, meaning
My courage, feeling

Sometimes it's what it is
Sometimes I'm what I need
Sometimes it almost seems enough
To be surrendering, to be surrendering

The last days are calling
The lost years are calling
This soul surrendering

  • Absolutely agree with stellar - wonderful album. Cannot understand why Carol Keogh and Plague Monkeys not famous

  • Their astonishing album Surface Tension is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Its is a terrible failing of the music industry that the Plague Monkeys are so little known.

The music industry in Ireland should be particularly ashamed of itself.

They do have a small cult following but it must be little consolation. They should have and could have found an international audience.

You can't even buy their second album. Disgrace.

  • I remember No Disco when it came on over here on Tara Tv but sky took it off and put crappy channel M on it.

  • have to agree on what an amazing album surface tension was. i was amazed when they really went nowhere after that... i guess it was too introspective for celtic tiger ireland... maybe it's time for a revival!

  • most underrated Irish band.. Don't know how they weren't huge.

  • Here here! I regularly listen to both of their albums. Surfacing is one of my all time favourite songs.

  • last time i heard them was in 2001 reminded me of the sundays :)

  • give this band a chance, and it will change ur world. deep and mysterious, a time out from time, get their album surface tension.
