Happy New Year!
Thanks so much for posting this! OMG, in 1974 I watched the original broadcast as a kid with my dad. It was part of public television's (WNET Channel 13 New York) "Previn & The Pittsburgh" series. Where has the time gone (and Oscar--may he R.I.P.)?
This was a very special memory of my childhood. It was the first time my dad and I saw Oscar together, which was the beginning of a 35-year obsession. Thanks again!

An absolute treat. Two gifted musicians talking and playing together. The famous Peterson-Previn jam session starts about 2min 45sec in. Previn holds his own alongside the man who was a jazz piano legend. At around 6 min 15 sec, Peterson lays down a boogie left-hand and invites Previn to 'play' - what a blast! One of the top musician interviews (see also the previous 6 segments): An accomplished musician himself, Previn does a great job revealing Peterson's playing and influences...

Just great. I need to get rubber implants in my fingers at some point. Peterson is just ridiculously versatile, he can play anything.

Thank you for putting this material on the Tube. Oscar is of great value to al musicians, and this interview is so valuable, because you hear everything in his words/notes =)
Great work and thanks again!
Peace, life and good music...

The really maddening bit, perhaps, is that in their combinded effort, Peterson and Previn are almost but not *quite* comparable to Art Tatum's left hand hand.
Thank you for these AMAZING videos!
I love Oscar Peterson and I've been looking for more videos where you can hear him talk more about his music. They were great!
Keep the good stuff coming!
