  • how bout hip escape??

  • @xxnwaxx1 - Not sure what you're referring to. Can you explain more? There are several techniques for getting out of this type of ground fighting self defense maneuver. Feel free to offer your own grappling techniques.

    Thanks!

  • Not a bad move... I would do an explosive hip thrust as I do this move. Just for a bit of extra power. Good Stuff. Train Hard Fight Easy my friend.

  • @Sharkman3472 - You're absolutely right! The hip thrust is a perfect addition. Probably even a necessity with a more unwilling "attacker". ;-)

Thanks for adding your comment! Feel free to add any time!

  • I tried to grab the skin on my side but I dont have enough to grab??? Guess I am safe against that attack XD

  • @GhostOkon - hey...no bragging about 3% body fat! ;-)

    Keep up the training G.O.!

  • Then the guy is smart and does that technique to you and ur fucked

  • im sorry, i do alot of training in self defense, not just sport fighting, and i really think you should venture out and see what else is out there. not everything works on different people, but there are somethings that will have a better chance of working. some people r strong, short, tall, qucker, it changes everything, what you tought here isnt going to work well for anyone, im sorry, but i know this through trial and error in realistic training.

  • your vid on never punching in a street fight is also a bit off. you can still hurt yourself very easily using a palm strike, just in different areas. there are many advantages to palm strikes though, most of the time less blood, and for legal reasons. you dont want to cut open a person with hiv or hep c then catch his tooth with your knuckle. palm striking on camera while being defensive would go better in court to if it ever did.

  • i dont mean to be rude, but i came across this video in a search for looking for additional info on sambo grappling defense. i take karate, sambo, and ninjitsu at atc in my city. Im not anywhere close to my shihan, but what your teaching in your videos doesnt have much effectivness behind it. i dont know whot tought you your self defense but its ridiculous. this isnt teaching anyone anything. plus the only way to do it is to try and test it.

  • We think one should learn judo, Gracie jiu-jitsu, or even wrestling to handle this situation.

Check out our videos and see how we get out of this position.

  • @JamesDBlanc hahahaha

  • @xxnwaxx1 Or the standard trap and roll upa escape. Far more effective than this silly technique.

  • great escape. I'd hit him in the groin first though, then go for the eagle claw

  • @xxnwaxx1 It wouldn't work, his knees are above your hips therefore limiting your movement.

  • @cqctraining He is referring to a technique in wich you take your hips and move them out to the side very quickly, messege me and il send you a video demonstrating, however in this situation it wouldnt work and could even give the opponent your back.
