English Translation: No I am not roaming aimlessly around the streets and bazaar I am a lover searching for his beloved God have mercy on me I am walking around troubled I have done wrong and sinned and am walking around wounded I have drunk the wine of desire and am strolling around beloved Though I may seem drunk I am in my senses...

A good person can b from anywhere...
Like Gandhi, Gandhi is an example 4 everyone..As an afghan farsian (or persian) i love gandhi even though he is not farsian..
Same with Jalalu din balkhi (rumi 4 everyone)...He can be from turkey, iran ,india-pak or anywhere even if he is from khorasan(afg today).. He was born in Balkh, mazar sharif. He finished some of his studies in Afg then turkey, iran, bukhara. His grave is in turkey cz he had died over there when he went there 4 sometimes.--

@mirageBites I have one comment. WHAT? Rumi was born in Afghanistan and settled in Anatolia later on. He is quite well known in Pak, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey and even the western world.

No.
Rumi was born in an area that is part of today's Afghanistan. He wrote in Persian and his tomb is in Turkey. In fact he is Universal. His poetry had an imense effect on Indian poets, sufies, Bhagats and writers.
