Hello sir, that is awsome! How long does it take to get from Ft.Desoto to the key? I would love to buy a Kayak and do this, just need some encouragement.

@MonteCarloZ38 Hi! Glad you liked my video! I'm actually a girl :) From the launch inside Ft Desoto to the tip of Egmont key is about 7.5 miles (1.5 hrs paddling time).You can also launch near the dog beach which is 2.3 miles (40 min) and follows the shipping channel. I crossed at slack tide to avoid strong currents. If you are new to paddling, I'd contact Sweetwater kayaks in St.Pete.They offer this as a group trip.They also have boats you can rent/buy. I hope you get to go! It is a lot of fun!
