The House debates the Temporary Tax Relief Act of 2007, H.R. 3996, legislation that will protect 23 million American families from the dreaded Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). But this legislation does more than just prevent the AMT from hitting unsuspecting families next year: It also expands critical tax breaks for middle-class Americans, as well as extends provisions important to the economy. Rep. Charlie Rangel, chair of the Ways and Means Committee, speaks in favor of fixing the AMT.
The AMT is one of many ways American citizens are ROBBED of their very livelihood. The sad fact is that many Americans are NOT LIABLE to pay any federal income tax. IRS does a great job of 'misinformation' and outright lying. Check out losthorizons(dot)com and read 'Cracking the Code' to reclaim freedom (and wrongfully taken earnings).
