McCain will not be president. He's an idiot. I will not support an idiot warhawk-warmonger who proudly boasts we must stay in Iraq, and that there will be "even more" wars, less jobs, and more illegal immigration. McCain actually promises this nonsense! How can anyone vote for someone this stupid who preaches that message?

McCain said it was "common knowledge and has been reported in the media that al-Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran, that's well known. And it's unfortunate."
A few moments later, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, standing just behind McCain, stepped forward and whispered in the presidential candidate's ear. McCain then said: "I'm sorry, the Iranians are training extremists, not al-Qaeda."

The context behind McCain's favorabilty is that despite his ideolgy being close to that of Bush, there were times he deagreed with his mentor. Also to be considered when many in the GOP are turning to the Coulterist camp, John avoided that temptation and remained his moderate self.
