My visit to Syria 2004

I put this music cuz it's about love, to express that I love the city, I love the song a lot, I chose a favourite song to a favourite city!

I made this clip from pictures I took of the lovely Damascus in June - July 2004 apart of the three pictures for white Damascus which have obviously been taken in winter.

i'm lebanese , i have 2 stories about syria . the fist one is when i got a letter from canadian embassy telling me i have to go to Damascus to be interviewed by the canadian council to get my visas i was so scared and i sent back a letter to canadian embassy asking them if i can be interviwed in lebanon instead ... but i had to go to Syria , and i was amazed how this people is welcoming and warm , i felt they are so kind

I agree, Syria is indeed a beautiful country.. Unfortunately the people living in it are complete morons, and have allowed successive dictators to rule them by fear, then pass on the mantle through nepotism... Nobody takes an ounce and interest in politics, which then leaves the door open for DICTATORSHIPS... Simply because the average Syrian is simply too lazy to think for themselves. There's only one thing worse than being dumb, and that's being dumb and stupid.

Let's remember the Iranian revolution of ‘79, democratic people trusted extreme Islamists who pretended to be their allies and turned out to be just as repressive and corrupt, wearing a mullahs robe rather than a monarch's gown.

At the end democracy left Iran, try not to end up like them, being murdered and tortured and imprisoned even more than under the previous regime.
