@Milford06 :What they voted for was an unelected and unelectable body within Europe - and there will be a heavy price for Ireland the long run, but I'm sure Cowen and all the other weasels who pushed this through were well looked after (I believe he didn't even know what was in the Lisbon Treaty.)
Meanwhile, across the water, no British government will hold a referandum because they know the public would crush it with a massive "no" vote.
