LDS teenagers: Have you had enough, like thousands of other ex-LDS teens? Are you wondering how to tell your parents you don't want to go to church anymore? This video clip provides an example of what you might say to your Mormon parents as you insist that you will not go to their church anymore.

  • No, sorry that you didn't get the points you wanted. But also sorry that it sounds like somebody failed you. Probably/maybe more than one. Sorry that this really isn't a venue that where I can be helpful to you--not really. But I do have a crowd of people that I haven't given up on. I don't believe in giving up on people. You've joined that list. So that's where my energy goes. That's why I will only respond to more intelligent banter. Luck to you!

God failed me, in case you're wondering. I prayed for three years for help to get past my doubts (which started on my mission, grew while I was at BYU and mushroomed as I read the scriptures with greater education).

I'm a slow learner, but eventually I realized that the persistent silence I was hearing when I prayed was a very powerful answer indeed.

  • Right.

    I know this one!

"Choose the" are the words that come before.

How many points do I get?

  • My children will get a lot more support from me than what you came up with.

  • @alicedehepzibah

Good to hear. I hope you'll share your ideas.

To which teenager are you referring when you say "trust the wisdom of a teenager"? Are you making fun of Joseph Smith? Just curious.

  • So we're to trust the wisdom of a teenager over that of a loving parent, essentially?

    How interesting.

  • if only it were that easy

  • Man, I am so sorry. Not going for one-upmanship here, hope you can believe me. My husband and I prayed for 11 years on me because of where I was. It's only been the last couple of months things have changed. It was awful and lonely.

  • @alicedehepzibah

I don't know this one. Is it a primary hymn like the other?

  • Sorry.
