The Beach Boys - in concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra - performing one of their many iconic surf songs in Australia at the Melbourne Arts Centre, Hamer Hall, on 30 January 2010. The current group contains two of the 'original' Beach Boys - Mike Love and Bruce Johnson as well as Mike Loves son, Christian Love. Drummer John Cowsill (member of the well known Cowsill musical family The Cowsills - "The Rain, The Park and Other Things") also sang some lead vocals. Audio quality is not too good as the iPod is quite sensitive so there is a fair amount of distortion. I couldn't avoid the arms/heads of nearby people without bringing my filming to the attention of officials who were pretty strong on reprimanding people if they were spotted taking photos or videos. The band has nine Australian concerts in January and February 2010.
Beach BoysNOT-they were over when Carl and Dennis died and Brian quit and Myke Luhv fired Al. This is the Myke and Bruth Tribute band. Imposters all!

i went to this show and it was great.but the hamer hall seating is crap [the floor is flat not sloped in the stalls] so if you had a big boofhead sitting in front of you ,like i did ,,bad luck. bit rough for a $150 ticket...]the melbourne symphony orchestra backing was agood idea and sounded great over all a great night ,,,, question ,, why was the drummer behind a large ;perspex sheet; surely not to stop rotten fruit being thrown ha ha ;
