This really is how it should be done! There are some singers today who can sell a song with similar fervor, but they don't always get serious material to bite into as far as singles go. In Philly there are plenty of talented ladies that just don't get that mainstream exposure. Right off the top I think of Carol Riddick, Lady Alma, Treena Ferebee ( I may have spelled her last name incorrectly.) I would love to hear Jill Scott cover this just for the record.
