it is easier to go: start>run>command prompt>start control userpassword2>"click" on the user you want>"click on the tab labled "user membership">"click" administrator>"click" apply>"click" ok>now close all those screens and the user you want is now an administrator.
ps:you can also change your password.(thumbs up if it worked)

@BeastofGboro I have an old desktop pc at home that runs xp while "my" laptop is vista. I will use my previously mentioned method to make me admin on my desktop from which I will download ophcrack livecd (look it up its great) and then i will use ophcrack to hack the admin password on "my" slightly more stubborn laptop. learn that password to promote my user to admin and make me happyface :)

you can open the hidden admin without password in safe mode on xp if you still have a computer running it and replace sticky keys with cmd (create a duplicate cmd and rename it sethc to overwrite) then restart. at welcome screen press shift 5 times to open cmd with admin access :D on vista you can't access hidden admin in safe mode and overwriting the file requires admin priviliges :/
