  • good video... To think it cost them nothing, a gift. And the town board neglected this gift. What would Holton Robinson do if he knew what would happen to his gift to Massena.

  • i wish the suspension bridge would be restored so we can use it as tuwerism so massena can gain more money

  • This is SO TYPICAL OF THE CURRENT POLITICAL PUPPETTS IN MASSENA, KNOCK IT DOWN, MAKE GREEN SPACE AND WALK AWAY !!!! THANKS TO MR. MAYOR RANDY DELOSH, MR. EVERRETT ASSFORD !!!!

  • @xxxMrSuspendedxxx its still paved with holes in sections.

  • @xxxMrSuspendedxxx What wooden legs though? Despite living in Massena Center all my life, I live outside the hamlet and never really explored that bridge. Closest I dared was where John did his speech, other kids in the neighborhood would actually go out onto it, they use to have a rope in the middle and would jump off of it. The only wood I see looks embedded in the vertical side beams.

  • @MassenaCenter315 Surely back in its prime those wooden legs on the concrete piers were coated in creosote. I freaked out when I seen that bare wood as is today. I can't see how it hasn't decayed and buckled by now.

  • @MassenaCenter315 That's kinda spooky, bein' that he was a real force in Engineering back in the day. To be buried without a stone... well, you might as well have the Coroner or Sheriff throw ya in the woods for the coyotes.

Marion, Illinois took over the cemetery here in 1954, but there was a clean exchange of the old Sexton plot scrolls goin' back to the 1870s.

  • @johnswackyworld Ah okay, wasn't sure cause all I ever see in there is the town workers doing the mowing, and never really explored in there, the guy who lives next door for some reason always came out and stood on his porch and watched me anytime I checked on my uncles grave in the new section, creeps me out.

  • @greggfla very good camera angles..better than what i could do by mysefl!!

  • @MassenaCenter315 joe gathier buries in massena center with me at this time in the new section. the town of massena mows the old section. joe does bury there too. mr rickard said he was a pall bearer at holton's funeral. but it appears he never had a gravstone. just markers for those of his family with the same name.
