Serpent Mound is a massive earthwork depicting an uncoiling serpent and is the largest and finest effigy mound in the United States. Spanning nearly 1,300 feet in length, it is thought to be constructed by the Fort Ancient culture more than 1,000 years ago. Today, it is a National Historic Landmark. From Our Ohio show 308, produced in 2008.
This seems more like a one-eyed snake. Interesting. The eye portion is aligned with the solstice and direction of sunrise. Hmm....built by "sun or fire" worshippers, perhaps. Some people say that the "eye" center perhaps had a dolomite stone that would draw most of the lightning strikes during a thunderstorm--a sign of concentrating energy in the "eye" or egg. I don't think aliens produced this. Just like the Nazca lines of Peru, we may never know who built this. What do others think?
