I took a hike up Pyramid Hill in Ma On Shan Country Park, Hong Kong. I didn't quite make it to the top, but I did make a timelapse video of the hike.
It has some exposure issues (oops) and may also make you motion sick (not really a mistake but inevitable). I think it's pretty cool actually.
Hmn. Actually, that's basically it! Haha =)
- Camera on continuous shutter mode, about 1 second
- Low resolution (640x480)
- Pre-set your exposure/arpeture to something constant
It's a bit hard to hold the camera steady, and as I got more tired/the hiking got more difficult, it gets shakier. A lot of people say this video makes them motion sick.

Hi Patratcan. Basically: yes. I have an old digicam (Canon A60 I think) with a "continuous shutter" mode. In this mode, you just hold the shutter button and it will take pictures as often as it can (about 1 per second for my camera). I set it to low-resolution (640x480) and finally I use free software called "photolapse" to build the final video. (More...)
