Stop acting like Calipari wasn't a scumbag before he came to Kentucky. Just because he's your coach now, don't act like this dude was a saint. John Chaney was one of the most respected coaches of all time. So for HIM to go off like that, there had to be something to it.

Just hope your national title doesn't get vacated in 2 years over something Coach Cal did.

From what I understand, Calipari was talking about some officials who had been assigned to an upcoming game and Chaney called him out on it. That's why Chaney says "Three class guys." He must've respected those refs. He also said "They're a good team and you don't need that edge." So Cal was using the media to try to influence future officiating in Chaney's mind. He snapped, plus he had got chewed out for criticizing refs prior to that, hence, "Got my ass blasted for giving them hell."

John Chaney admits to sending out a goon to knock a kid in the mouth. Lmao. Washed up thug no one cares about and now Calipari is winning titles at UK. Guess Chaney got his ass kicked in the end.

Chaney sent a 250 pound player at the end of his bench into a game to intentionally injure a St. Joseph's player. Threw an elbow into the kid's face and left him sprawled on the floor for several minutes. Chaney was suspended for it. He did many good things for Temple and Philadelphia, but he had a short fuse and several immature blowups, such as the one here.
