There is not much information on Baal, but ever since La Pucelle: Tactics, he has become a recurring boss in all Nippon Ichi games with the exception of Soul Nomad and is usually the strongest one in the game. Defeating him will usually reward the player with game's best items or a new title. What is known about Baal is that his form can change from game to game, ranging from a towering Lord of Terror to the comical looking Eringa (a mushroom monster), but is still incredibly power with each form. In Disgaea, he is the legendary Lord of Terror who attempted to conquer all the Netherworlds in existence, but he was sealed away by King Krichevskoy. In Makai Kingdom, Trenia explains that he is a collection of evil souls that can transfer into other bodies when defeated. Baal does not have any speaking roles. His dialogue is confined to "..." and only has a monstrous grunt in battle with the exception of the first Baal battle in Makai Kingdom. This changes in Disgaea 3 when he speaks to Mao and the rest as a Red Eringa.

In La Pucelle: Tactics, he is introduced as a level 2000 Demon Lord. He can be purified to join your party as many times as you want. But, this game's Baal is just another enemy in the game. In the European version, however, there is a level 4000 version called "Disgaea Baal" who high very high stats. After beating this stage, he returns as "Phantom Baal" in another stage.

In Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, Baal is a legendary Overlord that was sealed by King Krichevskoy a number of years before the start of the storyline of Disgaea, resulting in Krichevskoy becoming fatally weakened. He later faces Laharl, who is taken aback by his levels. He is later replaced by Prinny Baal, whom the player can fight as many time as he/she desires.

In Phantom Brave, Baal is a Funguy type character. Though looks are deceiving, he's still level 4000! Upon defeat, he forces himself to join your party at level 1. Marona immediately protests against it, saying that it may scare away the other phantoms. There is no other reward for defeating Baal, nor can you fight him more than once. He has the title of Terror Demon and it can't be changed. This is the second and last occurrence that Baal has been a playable character.

In Makai Kingdom, Baal, as an almagation of souls, has taken over Zetta's body in an optional stage. Defeating Baal here rewards the player with the use of Zetta's soulless body. In a later stage, Baal returns as a Prinny, but riding the Space Battleship Yoshitsuna, which becomes the player's prize upon completion of the stage.

In Disgaea 2, Adell & Rozalin went to Baal's Castle to face the Supreme Overlord, but upon entering, they find what they assume to be a statue of Baal. However, Rozalin's four-leaf clover seal suddenly reacts and the statue, revealed to actually be Baal, attacks Rozalin. There are two battles in the game against Baal.

In the first, the player battles him by himself as he is at Level 4000, but in the second battle he is reincarnated as a prinny again who is teamed up with four more clones of his normal appearance who are at Level 4000 each, as the prinny version is at Level 8000. Later in the game, once the Land of Carnage is accessible, if the player is in the 91-99th floor of a Legendary Item, four Baal Pirates may make an appearance, all at level 9999. An even rarer occurrence is Prinny Baal, who may take the place of the Prinny Pirates. Defeating him will give Adell the title "Lord Master". When the player has achieved this, return to Baal Castle and Prinny Baal and his clones will have their stats increased by up to 4 times. This is the game's most challenging battle.

Throughout the optional quests in Disgaea 3, Baal is confirmed to be the Legendary Overlord who has been stealing things from other characters. He stole Prism Red's friends, Asagi's game, Marona's pure heart, Laharl's height (how it was possible only Baal knows), and Flonne's Dark Ninja Memorial DVD boxset among other things. He appears in the form of a red Eringa.

@TARDISES Fists give +2 to a characters number of counters. Adell is currently using a Sword. He earned the title Archer Guard by standing next to an Archer girl during an assembly he attended and her effect made him GLOMP her and gain the title.

@Gundamugen The best available for bonus lists and stealing from enemies would be God's Hand in this game at rank 39. The ultimate fist is rank 40, called: Ultimus. Check gamefaqs (website) for more information.

Around 35,000,000 for any one attack stat is the max possible and that's with a rank 40 weapon, makai wars and 2 super robo suits, all filled with max specialists and perfectly leveled up to level 200 and with a total of 186,000 stored levels from reincarnation.

40,000,000 cannot happen, so don't lie when it's so easy for you to be called out on it thanks.

Can someone send me info on how to unlock a dark sun stage for every normal stage, I have only unlocked 10, I don't know the other specific conditions for other stages, please, someone, either reply on this comment or send a personal message.. Thank you. ^^ If you want, just give me 30 conditions so that I could unlock baal. haha! And if you're gonna' give the condition, give the name of the place too. Thank you!
