  • dude what size screws did you use for the motherboard?

  • @alqordi The video shows 6-32 threaded rods with an acorn nut. I had problems finding screws long enough, but eventually found 4" 6-32 bolts and cut them down to fit in the case.

  • @drumbog great video, it's given me some good ideas for my build. Just wondering what Dremel cutting disc you use?

  • @aquarmby I'm don't really know much about the different variety... I was just using what came with the Dremel. The reinforced wheels worked a little better on the sheet metal (something like #426). Any standard disc will work fine for that kind of job... they just wear down quicker when cutting harder materials.

  • Dear lord thats HAWT.

  • @aquarmby You should put painters tape where you're going to cut, that will keep the case looking better

  • question how much would this project cost?

  • @KingdomHearts4u I don't really have any plans to start anything new anytime soon, but I've been wanting to build a PC out of Legos for a while now. I'd probably go for it if Legos weren't so expensive... makes it hard to experiment with different ideas when you have to fork out that kind of cash.

  • @MrLittlejokes What you see in the video is a threaded rod with an acorn nut on the bottom. I started with these because I couldn't find 6-32 bolts in any home improvement stores that were long enough. I ended up finding 4" bolts at Fastenal... I cut them down to about 3.5" to fit in the case and used them instead. 6-32 bolts were the larges that would fit in the MB and they worked pretty good. I used a combination of nuts and nylon spacers to hold up the motherboard.

  • Hey Drumboog, what exactly are the screws that you use to mount the motherboard over the top of the fan? What is the size of them and what is needed to use them?
