To all the fucktards commenting on this saying we were uaw, your wrong. It was rumored before they announced closure that uaw did screw us. We were the only iue assembly plant in north America. They wanted all future products to go to them. I miss the financial security I had. Love my new job, but its still a struggle. Oh well.

Just a reminder to Americans about my countries once great industrial base in the UK. We once built the best cars in the world in the 1940's and 1950's....now ALL the car makers are gone with the loss of Rover in 2005. It could happen to you guys too.

I actually own the original 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer that was assembled at this plant and I can stand behind the quality. The interior may not be well designed and it may rattle, but I have 170k miles on it without any real issues.

Just watched this last night, had to download a copy off bittorrent 'cause I couldn't find it anywhere else. I've owned about 10 GM cars in my life, and two American-made Chevy trucks, and am about to buy a 3rd (Chevy Colorado, manufactured in Shreveport, Louisiana). Really heart-breaking. :'( Shame this movie isn't better known, I'd challenge anyone to go out & buy an import, after watching this.

my family has owned nothing but american vehicles. we have a 2003 chevy astro, and a 2008 trail blazer. love both of those vehicles. ill take a beat up old chevy that needs work over a brand new toyota any day.
