You have to be careful when you release your index finger from the D-string, in order to prevent the open D-string from ringing while you play the F#. D over F# = nasty interval... This isn't so much of an issue if you play this song in E-flat standard tuning, but if you play it in E-standard, the open strings must be muted.

@CrazyAwsumScreamoEmo if you dont know why you only strum one at a time in most songs its because each string makes a different sound, obviously, so if you strum them all at one time you are going to get a jumble of sounds. if your having a problem with only strumming one string and keep hitting two or the wrong one, i had the same problem when i started. just practice and it will slowely come naturally.

might be worth mentioning that Weezer plays tuned down a half step, so this is played as though it is in G major (but sounds as Gb Major)
