The Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. It's called the "Daddy of 'em All," but the "Daddy of Rodeo Animal Abuse" is a more accurate title.
If you think rodeos are humane, check out this video of steers dragged through a mud lake while rodeo announcers joke about them and try to justify the abuse.
Most telling is announcer Justin McKee, who applauds a rodeo judge for backing off animal protection rules when the victims need them the most. Truth is, those laws are almost never enforced.
In 2009, unwilling to stop its abuses, Cheyenne instead banned video cameras.

Ok so its so wrong for someone to do what they love and to make a living and to do what they were raised around and the way their ancestors were raised but it is just fine and perfectly right to tell cowboys and cowgirls that they are stupid, idiots, big beer-bellied yahoos and that the way we live is wrong. I just dont understand how that is justified.

@TheWashingtonCowboy Animal abuse is animal abuse, not a lifestyle. Don't think rodeos are abusive? Work to get the exemption for rodeo/livestock lifted from your state's animal cruelty laws and we'll see how long rodeo can keep on injuring and killing animals without anyone be held accountable by law.
