He didn't change what he said. Alexandria Town Talk article from 7/31/07 has it. He said the same thing then as he said to Congress. If it was adults, he'd have an easier time prosecuting. They were children with clean records, so he didn't.
"First of all, as the FBI said, hanging a noose under the circumstances these nooses were hung is a hate crime . . . If these were adults who hung the noose, there would be less of an issue with moving forward with the investigation and prosecution."

Yeah. Ellison makes himself look like a real idiot! It's pretty funny that Mr. Washington is the only one there who seems to know the facts of the case. The others were just showboating and got zero results from it.

The Jena 6 committed a violent racist crime and must be punished accordingly under the law for justice to prevail.
A symbolic hanging of a noose is freedom of speech and protected by the first ammendment.
Just because you disagree with the message, does not justify the racist violence of the Jena 6.

Who said I knw all the facts. I bet I know more than many, if not all of these congressmen. And I know Donald Washington does, because he'd the only one who actually investigated it. Ellison doesn't even know basic facts about it.
