We're tired of waiting. It's time for us to lead the way. Why? Because American energy independence starts with us -- people who see the value in developing our own natural resources. Sadly, our nation spends more than a million dollars a minute on foreign oil, and that's far too much. Our country needs a change of direction, a direction that develops our own oil and natural gas resources to create jobs across the country, revitalize communities and ensure our national security. Our nation must realize that American energy can power our homes, cook our food and fuel our vehicles without foreign oil. It's time our nation's engine was fueled from within.

i support this because I think this way will stop wars around all world.

The ego from all people is big to fight for oil, but the piece is most bigger

I find it kind of ironic that a company that talks about exploiting our natural resources (So they may never be used in the far future when our granchildren need them) is showing a bunch of hipster videos of happy kids and people playing around in natural beauty.. The fuck oil companies? Why don't you make a video with your own nasty oil refineries and oil wells that kill the local wildlife? Oh that's right.. :/

We EXPORT 2 Million Barrels of Oil A DAY !!!!! The people behind this are the oil companies that want to gut enviromental regulations so they can make even more money. Canada produces all its own oil and doesn't import any and they still pay the same prices we do. Solar power can be produced in the home for pennies- that is the direction we need to go in.

Using natural gas in transportation gives consumers - particularly fleets and over-the-road trucking cost saving options - reducing demand for refined gasoline (from imported oil).

Our TOP EXPORT just now above aerospace (which was developed though NASA's now reduced science budget) is REFINED GAS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES.

You mean all the journalism branches of companies that have a fiduciary responsibility to serve your interests?

I'm not sorry I yelled, this is more important than some silly domestic dispute so don't put me in the wrong. I know the context. I'm well informed enough to tell you to Invest in some LFTR technology. You'll be making huge profits and saving the world! It's like when phone lines switched from analog to digital, cheaper for you, but you charge the same.

Here’s an idea. QUIT BAND-AIDING OIL BULLSHIT AND INVEST IN ALTERNATE ENERGY. ESPECIALLY SOLAR.

We're not talking about isolationism. We're talking about using domestically produced natural gas to curtail our consumption of oil. Since most of the oil used in the United States is imported (about $140 billion worth from OPEC countries alone), a nationwide shift to natural gas in transportation, for example, would help the US make inroads toward energy self-sufficiency.

Energy Independence is a complex topic. Suggest reading recent pieces in New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg for more context.
