Thanks for a great review! I just bought this tent online from REI after weeks of researching, debating, and reading reviews. I actually crossed the Copper Spur ul2 off my list because I wanted to stay around $300, so I was leaning towards REI's Quarter Dome T2 plus ($319). I woke up yesterday to find that the Copper Spur was half off on REI's Deal of the Day on their outlet site. $200 bucks, AND it's slightly lighter than the T2. This will be great for me on the AT next year. One happy hiker!
Excellent review of this tent! I bought the three person version of this tent in order to give my son-in-law and I enough room to be comfortable. I also was intrigued by the weight. At 4 lbs. 12oz., the three person version of this tent can be used for bicycle camping which I plan to do also.
I have a FOUR SEASON TENT which my son-in-law and I have been using ( Kelty, Quartz II) which is a very good tent but it was very cramped for space for two people. I upgraded to this tent was very pleased!
I just purchased this tent and this review is spot on. I'm 6'0" and there is plenty of length. I'm also quite trim and wouldn't choose to share this tent with another person my size. A significant other would be fine tho!

This is the only good video of the Copper Spur on YouTube! You did a great job covering all the important aspects of this tent. Thanks.
