Illustration of the interpretation of a 2D Crazy Talk 5-generated facial animation by the 3D package iClone 3.
The initial flat face is cartoony and a bit of a mess but it DOES achieve some subtlety of expression and character that is largely lost on the target. I increased the strength of the animation to 115% in iClone to combat the catatonia. The target, there, is poorly-cut (but the best I can do) with as mouth as unlikely as that of Jack Nicholson's portrayal of The Joker....
Perhaps the addition of full-body movement will compensate for/distract from this. I intend to create a set with seating, a blazing fireplace, interesting lighting and a variety of camera angles. This may give me the opportunity to shoot him at his best so that his ROBOTICness doesn't distract from and HINDER what he has to say.
do you need crazy talk if you want to have voice acting, idont want to pay another 50 something dollars for it
