I wonder where he finds all these badass pedals
-
@radagast9 Sad part? Big Muffs and Tonebenders use the same basic circuit...difference is in the tonestack.
-
@Iamboott I think it's the latter.

got one, bought mine 80 bucks, im trying to make some good sounding clones of this killer pedal!
-
@510wtf ...its bolan not borland
-
holy shit. either you have a very small hand or that is one gaint pedal!
-
Cool what scales are you using?
-
I have a '70's Big Muff and a '90's re-issue tonebender and they are completely different beasts, and I use them for contrasting sounds. You can't say that one is better than the other.

im guessing with the orange amp to go with it your a marc borland fan

@PrestonDowMusic I can recommend you a clone, get the Big Muff PCB from General Guitar Gadgets. The Guild Foxey Lady, The Colorsound Jumbo and Supa Tonebender are the exact same circuit (but different values and transistors) of the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff except that the first diode clipping stages are removed (both Jumbo & Supa) and the final gain stage is missing (Jumbo only). The BC184 Silicon Transistors are still available at Fairchild Semiconductor, and Mouser.
This is what you wish your big muff sounded like,...unless you like the big muff sound of course,
