  • In reference to the "memory effect" that Lithium ion batteries are prone to doesn't effect NiMH batteries that the MFLB is shipped with.

  • @dracorjr Technically, NiMH batteries do not have a "memory effect", but strictly speaking neither do NiCds. However NiMH batteries can experience voltage depletion, also called voltage depression, similar to that of NiCd batteries, but the effect is normally less noticeable. To completely eliminate the possibility of NiMH batteries suffering any voltage depletion effect manufacturers recommend an occasional, complete discharge of NiMH batteries followed by a full recharge.

  • I leave the battery in the launch box until the mesh in the box is cool enough to put your lips on it. At that point the battery is usually quite hot, be careful, but its fully discharged. Or get the C9000 and discharge them via the charger itself. Also I open the top of the box when I do it. Beware that just because the light is not on.... it doesn't mean it is discharged, check the screen temp, not the light!

  • Solid red means it's charging.

  • My charger is blue and red and do not blink.

  • @jbyrd2112 I second this question.

  • I appreciate these videos, very informative. thanks

  • Yeah, I have a new charger too. Is it solid red for charging and blue for fully charged? I don't want to screw up my batteries.

  • @jbyrd2112 yeah mines the same , we have the new 2011 upgraded edition i believe...

  • What if the light is a solid red??
