Cas v Bradford 2009

Classy Cas versus Woolly Bully at Wheldon Road Castleford. The first half sees both sides take it in turns to score but it's the Bulls who just shade it. The second half sees the Bradford pack gain control and stop the classy Castleford backs playing fast rugby. Bradford extend the lead and with 13 minutes left on the clock the game looks won for Bradford with them leading 10-26. But this seasons never say die attitude from Cas makes them a different proposition this year and the Tigers produce a stunning fight back that leaves the Bulls in a state of shock. Brent Sherwin leads the way again with the classy MGoldrick running the Bulls ragged. Shenton proves he's a class centre bagging two tries and the experienced Dean Widders produces a moment to remember setting up Dixon in the corner. The final nail in the coffin sees Rangi Chase send the entire Bradford defense the wrong way to score and bring the sides level leaving Kirk Dixon the task of converting to win the game. Cas run out 28-26 winners and the Bulls are stunned.
