It is not true I don't know the Government's purpose but I know that ordinary Chinese do want to improve the situation in Tibet and regard the Tibetans the same...

@jimgzorn Your are being simplistic and reductionist while talking about very complex subjects as religion and society, that are always very intricate, complex and non-monolithic. Try to analyse thing in a more broader sense before trying to get your so called "truths". As getting the meaning of the word artha and kama in Hindusim for example and its imprtance to its adherents.

@closerelative Buddhism came to China from India, it is not indigenous to China. The effects of Hinduism and Buddhism in India are seen in the great number of poor people there. The philosophy of reincarnation is meant to "keep people in their place". That is, if people are poor this is thought to be so because they were bad in their last life time.

translation of chinese language to english would be very helpful
The Dalai Lama fled Tibet under the eyes of the CCP and now also the karmapa did flee. Such an embarassement for the CCP.
A loss for the Tibetan people in Tibet and a richness for the people in the west with these two Great Jewels.

India has good reason not allowing karmapa kandidate (that's right, one of two kandidates) Orgyen Trinley to travel. His and his founder Tai Situ are too much conected with China (even after Orgyen Trinley's arrival to India) and former prime-minister of SIkkim, Bandhari accused of corruption also in relevance of intervence in religious politics (whis is forbiden by indian law).
It's obvious. And if no-one sees it, than probably no-one wants to ;)
