they covered the John Mayer version.. good move. The lead singer probably wouldn't have hit the notes Tom Petty did with his flat ass voice.

When people like him sing you realize that you really can't compare and don't have the talent as one would like to deceive themselves into thinking...apart from that I liked it better than the original. Tom Petty has a pretty flat voice. The others were nice too-better than the university groups that tried to do the same but kept the beat up awkwardly without instruments for the capella.
