  • I love it. I remember this coming out of the PC speaker, it was a great era for gaming.

  • A notable game for its time.

    256 colour 'digitised graphics'.

    'RealSound' - a hardware trick done with the PC speaker which normally could only play tones (beeps). This in the era of 'sound cards' which then, could still only play MIDI instruments!

  • can somebody tell me how to install this in dosbox ? i download a package which comes with ms.exe , install1.bat , hinstall.bat but nothing works, no reaction

  • This was cutting edge technology for the time. I remember getting this game, and I actually still have it for my old 80286. This game was great. Tex Murphy was suck a funny dude!

  • Technically speaking, in the DOS directory of this game you'll find the samples (renamed from) .au Unix audio files.

  • Programmers sent filtered PCM to the PC speaker via a proprietary software driver, allowing the playback of sampled sounds and music.
