This exhibition, curated by Michael Mahalchick and Wallace Whitney at CANADA, features works that question the aesthetic status of less precious materials. Recycled lumber, rumpled canvases, found tinfoil, and thrown away plastic bags are all used to create works that fit in to a category dubbed "pathetic art" or more recently "crap on crap".
