RFK Junior really did say that "wind and solar plants are gas plants" in a 2010 speech to a group of oil and gas executives. The point is that wind and solar power are unreliable and need back-up. This back-up is almost always provided by gas.
"Wind fuels gas" is a common saying by people in the electricity industry.

True enough, but it's hard to exploit its power here on Earth given that it is 150 million km away.
Anyway, isn't solar power needed too much to power the NATURAL world, without us humans intercepting it for our own use? Nuclear energy on the other hand is something that nature doesn't touch...
