Why are you so proud of 1453??? You did not do anything special. The Byzantines only had 8,000 soldiers and the Ottomans had over 100,000. Its very easy to win a battle when you outnumber the enemy by 10 to 1.

@dlteodorian For most of its history, the Byzantine army was a highly professional army and as such armours were no decorations to adorn rooms and salons but were composite armours designed and fabricated for war. After their use they were recycled and there was no sentimentalism over it. From the 12th century onwards Byzantines employed increasingly mercenaries afterall. Then the Latin Crusaders and the Ottomans would reuse the materials too why would they preserve any remaining ones?

All orthodox nations should form a second byzantine empire with native greek as second language like in that days...imagine how powerful and beatiful it would be...and the first thing would be the re-conquerrin of CONSTANTINOPLE
