Caterham R500gt Mont Blanc Tunnel experience cut by 2 mins

This is as boring as it is possible to be and there is a risk of sleeping. I say this also as a warning to anyone making the drive themselves. At 42 mph (70kph) maintaining a distance of 150 metres from the vehicle in front, in complete monotony is very difficult. I have not once managed to maintain that distance without finding I have closed it and have to open it again. Regardless of how hard I try! I have cut 2 mins 2 secs from this vid so it will fit on youtube. If you are having trouble sleeping, I recommend this vid. Otherwise I suggest view the first bit until inside the tunnel and then the end few seconds. The rest is the same and is presented here purely in case someone wants a "stay awake" challenge!

Are they worth the amount they cost? I'm thinking of saving to buy one, as I would eventually get bored of building it, and give up.

that's a hard one! Very personal really. The Seven type of car is available from not much to large amounts. Perhaps the best advice is buy an inexpensive one and see how you feel after a while. Some quickly buy another, some are happy as they are.

bought it from caterham motorsport agent who built it for themselves - it's getting to be quite old now.

should put a noise filter on the mic, now every sound is lost. Wind, and engine pitch are to high to record. It's just something to put over the mic, and isn't expensive at all! A bit like those pro microphones, with their "wig", or their "stuffed animal" over them! ;-) To bad the sound is lost, driving with that engine in a tunnel...
